This glossary was designed and structured with the support of the Jean Monnet project ’Solidarity, cohesion and social support in the border regions of Central and Eastern Europe’, no. 101127134 - EUCOS (Jean Monnet Actions in the field of Higher Education: Modules), running from 2023 to 2026, funded by the European Commission through the Education and Culture Executive Agency. Within this project, the topics are addressed in an innovative and multidisciplinary manner, to underpin the various forms of social support which, in the context of today’s multiple crises, are becoming an increasingly important factor in fostering solidarity among people and ensuring the cohesion of groups located in the border regions of Central and Eastern Europe. The complexity of the current social context calls for innovative solutions and sustainable strategies to strengthen European economic, social and territorial cohesion, particularly in these regions which are situated in proximity to real threats to the security and safety of the population.
