Social demography examines how population important characteristics such as population are size, density, dispersion, sex distribution and age distribution that are influenced by social and cultural factors. Social demography is the study of a society’s migration patterns, birth and death rates, also involves data, totals, and statistics. Population structure and characteristics: Causes of population explosion in India and Problems of rapid population growth in India. Unit-V contains Family Planning and Family Welfare programme in India, Population education and Population Policy of India.
