Jeannette L. Clariond Poeta y traductora, ha publicado entre otros, Mujer dando la espalda; Desierta memoria, Premio Nacional de Poesía Efraín Huerta (1996); Todo antes de la noche, Premio de Poesía Gonzalo Rojas (2001); por su traducción de Zodiaco negro de Charles Wright obtuvo la Beca Rockefeller-Conaculta (2004); por la Antología de poesía norteamericana: La escuela de Wallace Stevens, la Beca de Traductores Banff (2004); el Museo-Casa Alda Merini la distinguió con un reconocimiento en Milán (2016). Por su obra poética y por su aportación a la cultura, recibió el Premio Juan de Mairena por la Universidad de Guadalajara (2014). El mismo año la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León la distinguió con el Premio al Mérito Editorial y publicó Astillada claridad. Por Ante un cuerpo desnudo obtuvo el Premio Iberoamericano de Poesía San Juan de la Cruz, Fontiveros, España (2018). Por Las lágrimas de las cosas obtuvo el Premio de Poesía Enriqueta Ochoa (2021). Ha traducido al español a Anne Carson, Elizabeth Bishop, William Merwin, Charles Wright y Primo Levi, entre otros. Es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores. En 2006 fundó el Certamen de Poesía en Braille.La Fundación Juan Ramón Jiménez se crea con el objetivo de honrar el legado del poeta español y Premio Nobel de Literatura, que vivió en nuestra ciudad; y aquí, en el dolor y la soledad del exilio, nació uno de los libros de poesía más hermosos: Romances de Coral Gables.El Premio Internacional de Poesía Juan Ramón Jiménez de Coral Gables ­tiene como objetivo celebrar la creación poética y la difusión de voces destacadas de la poesía hispánica contemporánea.
