Cordell & Odena Mitchell have been evangelists, pastors, and teachers over 50 years. Cordell has a B.A in Biblical Studies. He has been a pastor, banker, Dean of 'The Biblical School of Theology' in Cleburne, Texas, and Administrator over 'Pacific Mission Training Centre' in Matafele, Apia, Western Samoa, and is now retired, writing, and publishing. No amount of background can prepare a person to do justice to the title of this book, 'The Deity of Christ Jesus.' The subject alone requires more than acquired knowledge; that a man of flesh could be God and Man. The great doctrine of 'The Dual Nature of Christ Jesus' in the Christian faith hangs upon this very concept: if Jesus fails the test of being God in the flesh then Christianity finds itself to be but another religious movement with an earthly founder and no more. I have approached this subject from the foundation of: That the Scriptures as we have them are true and without error: And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? (Mark 12:24) That no outside source, other than the Scriptures, is needed to substantiate this truth. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. (John 5:39) Scripture supporting Scripture is the most sure way to build truth: If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; (John 10:35) I therefore submit to you the reader that Jesus came in the flesh of man and was Himself none less than God according to the Scriptures: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) I make no apologies for believing the Scriptures to be Divinely Inspired and Without Error.

This book is a witness that God can use anyone in any position to be a help to another person. The person you are counting out could very well be the one chosen to help get you to yo...

We’ve been duped into removing prayer from the center of our churches and have placed it on the periphery or semi-periphery.  What we’re witnessing today in our churches, and in society at large, is that legacy of prayerlessness.  Church leadership may be hesitant and embarrassed to admit it, but there is a direct correlation between our spiritual weakness and our lack of corpo...
  • Broken Bodies
    Davis McGuirt / Heather Geisel
If God is good, why do we get sick? When God created the world, He declared: "It is good." But then came the Fall, and with it sickness and death. In this heart-tugging monograph, Dr. Davis McGuirt draws from both his training in theology and the personal agony of watching his father die from cancer to provide a variety of biblical reasons for why we get sick. We are also remin...

  • The Post-Resurrection Appearances of Christ

To walk through the forty day time span in the Scriptures which covers most of "The Post-Resurrection Appearances of Christ" is to walk with one foot in this world and the other foot in the world to come. The body that Jesus is now in is the resurrected body in the flesh that every believer is encouraged to see as the image of their own bodily resurrection.(1John 3:2) Beloved, ...

There is one fundamental truth throughout the Scriptures: God is a jealous God. And the people answered him not a word.    When Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well, he poi...

Christianity is not made up of mysteries. The only real mysteries have been revealed in Christ Jesus. There are several groups in both the history of the church and in present day that could be called mystery religions but Christianity is not one of them. A mystery in New Testament understanding is something that has been or is in the process of being revealed. This is all the ...

Generally speaking, a book of sermons holds little value to the busy pastor. I have many such books in my library, yet few of these books hold any great insights. I present these sermons to be different from what you have seen before. Of the thousands of times I have preached, some were so different that they could not be of the same level, so I separated them over the years. I...
