Grundlegende Definitionen und Erläuterungen geben einen Einblick in den Themenkomplex Skill-Management. Dabei wird der praxisnahe Umgang mit der Thematik stark berücksichtigt. Dadurch werden Impulse für die Umsetzung von Skill-Management in die Praxis gegeben. Abschließend werden die Perspektiven des Skill-Managements erörtert. Wie erfolgreich ein Unternehmen am Markt ist hängt heute im wesentlichen davon ab, wie schnell und flexibel eine Organisation auf die Bewegungen am Markt reagieren kann. Dabei ist es besonders wichtig, die im Unternehmen befindlichen Kompetenzen zu erkennen, sie richtig einzusetzen und entsprechend dem Portfolio des Unternehmens weiterzuentwickeln.
