Six cats are in cages, waiting to be taken away one by one by humans. They’d love to be adopted and be part of a family, but they don’t want to be parted! A daring escape is in order which leads them to a search for shelter. They find a house that is empty - or so they think! With food in the fridge (and a wily Ginger who can open the door!) and warm places to sleep, the cats think they have found home. Until a need for more food drives them out of the house and they encounter lots of different creatures, some friendly and some not so much! When a cleaner comes and is bemused by the animal hairs, the cats realise the house isn’t empty at all. Will they be forced to run away to stay together? Or is it possible another solution is on its way?

Here we have a book unique in the annals of horror literature. This is a book where the stories are penned, mostly, by fortean researchers. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, 'fortean' refers to the works of Charles Hoy Fort (August 6, 1874 - May 3, 1932). Fort was an American writer and researcher into strange phenomena. Fort collected newspaper reports of sightings o...

When the last candle was blown out it was said that a horned blue spirit, Aoandon, would ...

'This book represents my own kicking back at the poor excuse for horror we have had to endure for so long. But my second reason for writing it was to showcase some odd and overlooked pieces of British folklore. Too often horror is stuck in the rut of using the same subjects and monsters, when in folklore there is a wealth of concepts and creatures that are rarely tapped into. M...
