In the small town of Portsdale, Damien, a cunning serial killer has already claimed three victims, leaving the community in a state of fear and confusion. His next target is Elizabeth Merceda, the younger sister of his victim Daphne. Drawn to Elizabeth by a twisted desire for challenge, Damien recalls Daphne’s haunting words: Elizabeth would be the one to uncover his dark secret and put him behind bars. Thrilled by the prospect of a game, Damien begins to craft a chilling plan to get close to Elizabeth, manipulating her trust.Elizabeth Merceda is the sole owner of the Merceda Bakery, which was left to her by her father after his passing. What would have belonged to Elizabeth and Daphne gets cut short when Daphne is murdered, leaving Elizabeth to run the bakery alone while tackling her mental health after her death. Soon, a year after Daphne’s passing another woman is murdered. Elizabeth’s hatred for the notorious killer spikes and she no longer focuses on grieving. She wants the killer in jail. She wants nothing more than to bring justice and take revenge and pursues Damien. Only this time, it’s not another person’s life that is at stake, it’s hers. Will Elizabeth be the first person to outsmart Damien and bring his sadistic reign of terror to an end in Portsdale, or will she become another pawn to Damien’s sick desires? Elizabeth soon comes to realize the only way to survive is to reverse the roles set upon them both. The fate of Portsdale is in her hands, as the hunter becomes the hunted.
