Nesta edição do livro, é apresentado um sistema de reconhecimento e seguimento da atividade das crianças que utiliza a tecnologia RFID, o GPS e o GMS para prevenir acidentes com crianças, tais como lesões não intencionais em casa e casos de desaparecimento. Trata-se de uma solução baseada no Android para ajudar os pais a localizarem os seus filhos em tempo real. Atualmente, a maioria dos telemóveis está equipada com capacidades de serviços de localização que nos permitem obter a posição geográfica do dispositivo em tempo real. Permite aos pais obter a localização dos filhos num mapa em tempo real. O sistema é composto por dois lados, o lado da criança e o lado dos pais. A aplicação funciona com a ajuda de um telemóvel Android. A aplicação androide baseia-se nos serviços GPS e SMS do telemóvel Android.
