O livro aborda os aspetos de conceção e desenvolvimento de um sistema de instrumentos integrados (gerador de funções e multímetro digital) para a medição da capacitância através da variação da frequência e da temperatura em sólidos e fibras. A capacitância desconhecida é medida através da medição da tensão no condensador na rede RC. Os instrumentos gerador de funções e multímetro digital estão disponíveis em todos os laboratórios. Ao integrar esses dispositivos, é possível desenvolver uma instrumentação poderosa e econômica. O programa MATLAB faz a interface dos instrumentos através da porta serial e coleta dados, a tensão aplicada e medida em uma frequência específica. Os resultados são analisados para obter a capacitância correspondente de qualquer capacitor em teste. O presente sistema será de grande utilidade em ambientes industriais, bem como para engenheiros nas indústrias e pesquisadores em organizações.
