La sulfamerazina è uno dei principi attivi della famiglia delle sulfonamidi antibatteriche. Il complesso della sulfamerazina con il metallo di transizione Co(II) è stato sintetizzato utilizzando il metodo del riflusso. Il composto in esame, [Co(C11H12N4O2S)2(C5H5N)2] H2O, è stato studiato mediante cristallografia a raggi X e cristallizza nel gruppo spaziale monoclino C2/c con Z=8. La struttura molecolare è stabilizzata da interazioni intramolecolari e intermolecolari. In questo volume sono riportate le viste ORTEP e PLATON della molecola in esame, che indicano lo schema di numerazione atomica con ellissoidi termici disegnati a un livello di probabilità del 50%.
