Although Gwyneth’s writings about her cancer journey are sometimes brought into sharp focus by the urgency of living with debilitating illness, there were aspects of that journey that were not unlike what we each encounter, must grapple with, or give praise to throughout our lives: her search for spiritual balance and wholesomeness, her love for the people in her life, and an abiding hope for what the future might bring. In this context, Gwyneth’s explorations in words become transcendent as she expresses her wonder and joy with life and living. We trust these words will resonate with anyone who has ever embarked on a cancer journey or is currently experiencing illness or other challenges in life, but that they will also be deeply felt and recognized by each of us.
