Even the worst scenario produced through war can be overcome with a positive attitude which is shown by hope. This novel shows the many paths of life, the family of the author went through, startng with the Concentraton Camp of the father in Siberia, his escape, the dramas at home in Transylvania until life could gain the upper hand again. One unfortunate message however comes out of it : The history of war teaches us that it has never taught us.
