'Si Klegg, Book 5: Deacon’s Adventures At Chattanooga In Caring For The Boys' is a novel by John McElroy, published in 1910. It is the fifth book in the Si Klegg series and follows the adventures of the eponymous character, a Union soldier during the American Civil War. In this book, Si Klegg, now a seasoned soldier, is given the task of caring for the boys of his regiment in the dangerous and volatile city of Chattanooga. Along with his friend Shorty, Si navigates the challenges of protecting the young soldiers under his care, while also facing battles, skirmishes, and other dangers.
