Shhhhh . . . Dont Tell! is a book about a young girl living in poverty and growing up in a household where there is domestic violence abuse. This book delves into the childs emotional feelings surrounding her parents abusive relationship and how it affects her own life. She feels like shes the reason behind her parents tumultuous relationship and tries her best to make things right. When things dont get better, she turns to her best friend to keep her secret but worries about what would happen should it get out. Would she get into even more trouble, or could this actually bring about change?
