In April 1977, the Central Treaty Organization (CENTO) with the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) launched a small, but significant exercise to Shiraz, Iran. What was it’s purpose other than 'training'? Events later show it was a first in rapid deployment models, and a match that ignited the first fire of major US tumult in the Middle East. This is a first person true story.
