O sequestro internacional de crianças e adolescentes realizado por um dos parentes é um tema pouco abordado no mundo jurídico brasileiro. Isso porque somente com o advento da globalização é que as falhas de comunicação entre os países passaram a surgir. Verifica-se que inúmeras são as consequências para a criança e o adolescente que são retirados de seu país de residência e da convivência diária com um de seus genitores. Sendo assim, imprescindível o estudo das consequências e das medidas que vem sendo adotadas entre os países, de forma a colaborar com a repatriação das crianças e adolescentes ao seu território nacional, bem como junto ao seio de sua família, objeto do presente estudo.
