SHACHELLA JAMES is an award winning technology professional with over a decade of management experience. Shachella’s interest in diversity comes from her experiences in corporate America as well as her personal travels. She based Sentarse Means Sit on her international experiences; but, her inspiration was her 3 year old daughter, Darias. In writing Sentarse Means Sit, Shachella wanted to emphasize for her daughter and other children two things: self appreciation and acceptance. Although written for children, the book’s concepts translate easily into a corporate environment and everyday life situations. Sentarse Means Sit is her first book.Mrs. James lives in Missouri City, Texas with her husband,Darrell, and their two children, Darias and Daschal.
