The focus is on the helplessness of the Indian woman in the face of insurmountable customs, conventions, and traditions created by the ego-centric male chauvinistic society and the extent to which she can go to hoodwink the social pretentions; for self-preservation. The novella contains visions of India’s general scenario as well. It is the story of the common people of India in flesh and blood; for the whole world to know!
