No entanto, as zonas rurais enfrentam elevadas taxas de mortalidade devido à falta de recursos e a programas de rastreio limitados. O diagnóstico automatizado pode colmatar estas lacunas, distinguindo as células anormais do teste de Papanicolaou com base na forma nuclear. Este estudo avalia os métodos de segmentação no conjunto de dados de Papanicolau AGMC-TU, obtendo uma precisão de classificação de 92,83% com SVM Linear e melhorando para 97,65% utilizando caraterísticas optimizadas e o método FCM. A segmentação exacta do núcleo é crucial para a previsão fiável de células anormais, aumentando a eficácia do rastreio do cancro do colo do útero.
