Sefer HaYashar (Livro de Yashar); possivelmente esse Livro foi escrito por uma pessoa chamada Yashar, ou é apenas o nome dado a um livro, o qual quer dizer: Justo, Honesto, Reto. Yashar é chamado de Jasher na Bíblia pergaminho de Yashar, é como uma forma paralela de Gênesis a Êxodo. Não se sabe a época da elaboração desse livro, porém é fato que era muito antigo. Deduzem que o escrito foi feito no período primitivo da história de Israel, alguns eruditos afirmam que os primeiros registros do pergaminho devem ter surgido entre os séculos 15 e 10 a.C.
