This volume, Seasons of the Soul, is a poetic journey describing the spiritual awakening of the author through a merging with nature. A poetically depicted illustration of the progression through the seasons or phases of the soul’s journey, it is manifested outwardly through the author’s relationships, her loves and her basic attunement with all the love and light which life has to offer.         Seasons of the Soul is a celebration of life in all its beauty, in all of its poignancy, and in all of its meaning, taking us to the heights of joy, and at times, to depths of despair, ultimately arriving at a point of wisdom and evolvement. Hence, as the title implies, it is all of our seasons of the soul, for the soul is one.About the AuthorRose Dreilich grew up in the 1950s and 1960s. She was born in Pensacola, one of the most exquisitely beautiful coastal towns in the United States, blessed with crystal clear aqua blue gulf waters and sugar white sands. When she was still a baby, her family moved to Tallahassee, Florida, also a lovely area, with rolling hills and graceful, Spanish moss festooned ancient sprawling oaks. She spent many hours climbing these oak trees as a child, to gaze down, enraptured by the sweeping views of her childhood home. With so much beauty surrounding her, and with naturally sensitive inclinations, she discovered as a child that the way to give form, meaning, and release to her feelings was writing poetry, as it was the perfect expression aligned with her soul. The moods, the meaningful events, the joys and the poignancy all flowed through her and were written down in Seasons of the Soul. As an astrological counselor, meaning and direction were seen and expressed to her clients, which found a prominent place in her poetry.        Dreilich now lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with her beloved husband, Fred Dreilich. He is an artist, and a magnificent wise being. They have been blessed with an amazing and beautiful son, Trevor, who has a huge and loving heart, as well as a deep affinity for animals.        Dreilich and Fred fill their days walking on their spiritual journey, exploring nature, and generally, having adventures. They share a vision of a world without war, disease or poverty; a world without fear, replaced by a world of loving enlightenment, and respect for nature and God’s blessings.   3

The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....
