After barely surviving the ramifications of the Winter Stone, Panda and Mitzi Fowler are given a new mission: to locate another piece of the Circle of Stones. This time, it’s the Summer Stone in Africa, which is also being sought by evil forces threatening all Free Creatures. Since this time it’s only a search for the stone and retired cop Charlie Potts will be joining them for security, it should be almost a vacation, right? If only being an agent for the Hercynian Garden were so easy. To avoid detection by Lupus Imperium, they must go undercover-oh, and one more thing. Panda must learn to call and control the fickle ravens before they leave. No pressure-they have a whole two weeks. While Panda grapples with her challenge of learning how to call the ravens, Mitzi finds herself in a dangerous, unplanned side adventure that brings her face-to-face with the new leader of Lupus Imperium. Will Mitzi even join Panda in Africa? Will they find the Summer Stone and return to their normal lives in Merryville, California? Things heat up when the race to find the Summer Stone turns into a showdown in the shifting sands of Namibia.
