Marjorie Hanft’s gorgeous poems in Scrutinizing the Dust create a sensuous world of sound and taste, as well as sight and touch. In her poem 'Note to Emily,' Marjorie grudgingly accepts 'a sightedness' she 'didn’t choose.'
