Scribble Scrabble is a month long journey of creative mindfulness for our youngest scribblers. The words of others can be powerful tools. They can allow us to take a peek inside someone else’s world where we can gain perspective and learn how to apply lessons learned to our own lives. This collection of words and guidance is designed to assist you in the very challenging, yet important journey of developing your scribbler’s emotional intelligence. The quotes that you will encounter on these pages will be aligned with a question for your scribbler that they can reflect on and then you can discuss with them. This opportunity enables your scribbler to help identify their feelings, thus feeding their emotional intelligence and developing their critical thinking skills. Discussing the quotes and the questions gives you, as the grown-up, a chance to learn how your scribbler thinks, feels and processes emotions. The quotes and questions provide an opportunity for your scribbler to scribble their feelings and interpretations. When words are hard to come by, or not yet known, many scribblers of all ages find art as their mode of transportation for their emotions and feelings.
