Dieser Screening-Fragebogen (DSQ) ist für Eltern gedacht, die herausfinden möchten, ob ihre Kleinkinder (12 bis 36 Monate alt) eine eingehendere Entwicklungsbewertung benötigen. Es wurde eine Validitätsstudie durchgeführt, um zu ermitteln, wie genau dieser Fragebogen die Entwicklung von Kleinkindern bewertet, wenn Eltern ihn am Computer ausfüllen. Die Ergebnisse der Studie deuten darauf hin, dass der Fragebogen im Vergleich zu einem etablierten Screening-Instrument, dem Child Development Inventory, valide ist. Das Ausfüllen des Fragebogens dauert etwa 8 bis 10 Minuten.
