Bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and major mood depressive disorder can be painful mental illnesses, but there is HOPE! Don’t let go, and recovery is possible! Gracelyn Castle’s story tells achingly of how she felt different as a child, the things that she noticeably did that were different from the other children, including her sexually promiscuous behavior. There were signs in her early childhood that something might be terribly wrong. Because she was molested as a child, it was easier to blame her behavioral problems on that than to find the root problem. As she grew up, the ways in which she differed from the other children became more obvious, she just couldn’t fit in. And she knew that she was different, and considered suicide as a means to escape the way that she felt. After suicide attempts and self-mutilation, she was expelled from school and ended up in two different residential hospitals. All of this happened before she was fourteen years old. She had to reach the bottom before she could begin the slow road to recovery. Reaching bottom meant drug abuse, anorexia, bulimia, jail, and lots of dangerous behaviors that lead her into scary and horrific situations. When she found real help, she found recovery!

Second, and closely related to the first tenet, man is not separable from his environment. We all share in this...
