Diese Studie untersuchte die Identitäten und Subjektivitäten, die in einer Online-Umgebung, im Cyberspace, konstruiert werden, anhand der Nutzung von Scruff (einer schwulen Social-Networking-App, die auf Geolokalisierung basiert), die darauf abzielt, affektive und sexuelle Begegnungen zu vermitteln, indem sie die Geolokalisierung von Nutzern in einem Netzwerk abbildet. Das analytische Profil dieser Arbeit basiert auf der subjektiven Selbstdarstellung in der App, die typisch für die Cyberkultur ist, sowie auf den Beziehungen, die von diesem Punkt an aufgebaut werden, und auf dem, was davon abweicht, indem eine Untersuchung mit einer qualitativen, deskriptiven und analytischen Forschungsmethode durchgeführt wird, die sich auf die virtuelle Ethnografie stützt und auf der Gendertheorie und der Queer-Theorie basiert.
