The book’s genre speaks to societal issues related to the effects of mental slavery and continued oppression of African people in America and globally. Dr. Kweku speaks to these issues from personal experience and observation, as he has spent the better part of his life working directly in blighted communities and seen the effects and damage perpetrated on communities that lack the resources and/or committed persons to provide the education and support necessary for overcoming the school systems that are dysfunctional and lack purpose. Dr. Kweku provides some answers to overcoming a system of oppression and abuse.
