The reader is moved back and forth from Jimmy’s story and the ongoing inner dialogue of the storyteller. She too becomes a victim of the circumstances of his case but only after her encounter with Jimmy does she change her thinking and become enlightened. She is forever changed in her perspective and approach while the absurdity of the human services system is revealed in her insightful narration.Saving Soull is current and necessary as our culture and social systems root themselves further and further into our lives.
