La récupération améliorée après chirurgie (ERAS) a été mise en œuvre pour accélérer le traitement des patients au cours de leur opération afin d’améliorer les résultats et les coûts pour les patients. Il a été largement utilisé dans la plupart des spécialités chirurgicales, mais il n’en est qu’à ses débuts en chirurgie thoracique. Ces patients peuvent présenter de multiples comorbidités et ont souvent besoin d’une assistance respiratoire après l’opération. Cet ouvrage explore le rôle du praticien ERAS et examine le point de vue du patient sur la mise en œuvre d’un programme de récupération améliorée dans un centre de référence tertiaire pour la chirurgie thoracique.
