This causes Sarah to become so sad that she cries a river of tears! Freddie the friendly goldfish comes to Sarah’s rescue and helps her escape to the Enchanted Valley. Sarah meets a lot of friends including Lionel the lion. She brings all her animal friends back home to live with her and her Uncle Mandrake, where they all live happily ever after. Sarah and the Enchanted Animals teaches courage, creativity, unity, and good team work. The author, Maisie A. Smikle, was raised in Jamaica and now resides in Florida with her family. Her love for writing and telling a good story was what motivated her to write Sarah and the Enchanted Animals. She has written two other books titled Oliver, and a novel, Under the Rainbow.
