Sanine is a novel written by the Russian author Michael Artzibashef. The book tells the story of a young man named Sanine, who is a nihilistic and hedonistic character. Sanine is a student at a university in Moscow, where he spends his time drinking, partying, and seducing women. He is also highly critical of society and its conventions, and he often expresses his disdain for traditional values and beliefs. As the story progresses, Sanine becomes involved with a young woman named Nina, who is engaged to be married to another man. Sanine and Nina begin a passionate love affair, but their relationship is complicated by their differing views on life and love. Nina is a romantic and idealistic character, while Sanine is cynical and jaded. Despite their differences, the two characters are drawn to each other, and their relationship becomes a central focus of the novel.Throughout the book, Artzibashef explores themes of love, sexuality, philosophy, and social critique. Sanine is a complex and controversial character, and the novel has been praised for its frank and honest portrayal of his beliefs and actions. The book was originally published in Russia in 1907, and it has since become a classic of Russian literature.Nevertheless she was not averse to receiving the attentions of other men, and her belief that Yourii loved her gave her the elated manner of a bride-elect, making her doubly attractive to other admirers. She was powerfully fascinated by the presence of Sanine, whose broad shoulders, calm eyes, and deliberate manner won her regard. When Sina became aware of his effect upon her, she accused herself of want of self-control if not of immodesty; nevertheless she always continued to observe him with great interest. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world’s literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
