The novel Salam Colombo, I Love You is the story of Sam Sayed, a young man who was born in India. He wanted to study and become a well-recognised professional and travels to Colombo where he had relatives, to pursue his objective. He finds that he was not progressing well and decides to go to London to advance his studies. The novel introduces the reader to the customs and practices of people in India and Sri Lanka and to the places of interest located in the two countries.
