Sakuntala or The Fatal Ring: A Drama 1902 is a play written by Kalidasa, an ancient Indian poet and playwright. Heartbroken and alone, Sakuntala is forced to leave the palace and return to her forest home. The play follows her journey as she deals with the consequences of her love for the king, and the fatal ring that ultimately brings about her tragic end.
