Born in Salisbury, North Carolina, Paula Butero’s life has been a testament to resilience, faith, and the transformative power of love. Despite leaving high school early, Paula earned her GED and pursued further education at Mitchell College in Statesville, NC. Her dedication to helping others led her to become a certified teacher at Teen Challenge, a group home for girls in Harmony, NC, where she inspired young women to overcome their struggles and embrace hope. Drawing from her own experiences with trauma and recovery, Paula authored Sacred Recovery: Integrating Spirituality into Recovery to offer guidance and encouragement to those navigating the challenges of healing. Her writing emphasizes the message that no one is ever truly alone and that the love of Jesus Christ can restore even the most broken of hearts. This heartiest book follows her earlier publication, Answering the Call, and reflects her unwavering belief that all her writing stems from God’s grace and inspiration. Paula’s life is as diverse as it is inspiring. She once drove an 18-wheeler alongside her husband, John, building a life filled with faith, love, and shared purpose. Together, they find solace and direction in studying the Bible, which has been their guide through life’s journeys. In addition to her writing and ministry, Paula channels her creativity into music, playing the guitar and composing lyrics as both a therapeutic outlet and a way to express her faith. Her love for animals, especially stray cats, is another reflection of her compassionate spirit. At home, Paula and John share their lives with a beloved toothless cat named Oliver, who brings them endless joy. Through her work, Paula aims to remind others that God’s care extends to every broken heart and that recovery is always possible when grounded in His love. She encourages readers to invite God into their healing process, trusting Him as the ultimate source of restoration and purpose.
