Pastor Barrington F. Goldson is the founder and senior pastor of Calvary Tabernacle, in Hempstead, Long Island, New York. His life’s motto is, 'You Rise by Lifting Others.' A such, he offers a fresh, biblical perspective from his nineteen years of Ministry, intellectual knowledge, extensive life experience and inspiration of God’s Word. He has ministered internationally in several countries and ministers online at www.cometocalvary.comPastor Goldson is married to Jo-Ann, and together they have two lovely children, Lennox and Krystal.Pastor Goldson holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Economics, and Christian Education and Biblical Studies; He is a Doctoral Candidate in Biblical Theology and Christian Education expecting to complete it in 2011. Prior to entering full-time ministry, he worked in the banking industry for over twenty years, rising to the level of Assistant Vice President of a major New York banking institution. Most recently he founded and chairs the Board of Directors for the first Charter School in Hempstead. 'The Academy Charter School' has added a new dimension to the educational opportunities available in the Village of Hempstead, and Long Island as a whole.As a Community Leader, Pastor Goldson is passionate about empowering people and improving the community. As such, in 2006, he was appointed to serve on the Village of Hempstead Zoning Board. He has also received several awards and citations from Nassau County, The Town of Hempstead and The Village of Hempstead. Pastor Goldson can be described as a passionate and compassionate leader. He is a tremendous visionary, prolific speaker, preacher and teacher and demonstrates a spirit of excellence in all that he does.
