In questo lavoro ci siamo sforzati di condurre il lettore fra le diverse situazioni e circostanze che si crearono nell’aerea intorno a Kiev per il concorso non solo di Slavo-russi, ma anche di altre etnie e mostriamo come queste genti si accordarono sotto il pugno di ferro di un’élite armata a tentare di mettere insieme uno stato con capitale Kiev. I modelli? C’erano già degli stati funzionanti nella Pianura Russa e queste entità ebbero il loro peso nella formazione della Rus’ di Kiev. Molti dettagli furono trascurati andando così a costituire gli impedimenti a un funzionamento durevole.
