Although such technology can readily help single parents, as well, there is still strong social stigma in some communities for single mothers who want to build a new family on their own. Nevertheless, a growing number of women are doing so.Limited resources exist to help single mothers engage in open and honest discussions on how their children came to be. It is my hope that Ruby & Mommy will be used as a tool to begin this very important dialogue. This book is a tribute to women who make the choice to share their life and love with a child. 3
