Roosevelt Raccoon is very confident in his ability to climb trees and other things. He also prides himself in being brave and fearless. However, his willingness to show off his abilities has gotten him into trouble a number of times in the past. In Roosevelt and Ruthie and the High-wire Adventure, he takes the risk of real trouble by entering the open window of a neighbor’s house. His hair-raising experiences in this house are almost more than he can handle. His sister, Ruthie, does her best to keep him out of trouble, but can’t help laughing at his funny adventures.
