In questo lavoro, l’ossidazione elettrolitica assistita da plasma (PEO) è stata utilizzata per produrre un rivestimento ceramico sulla superficie di substrati in lega di alluminio (AA 5052). Le proprietà elettriche di questo rivestimento sono state analizzate con la spettroscopia di impedenza elettrica (EIE). Gli spessori dei rivestimenti sono stati determinati utilizzando il metodo eddy current e la microscopia elettronica a scansione (SEM). Il SEM è stato utilizzato anche per valutare la topografia dei rivestimenti. La spettroscopia di assorbimento infrarosso (IRS) e la spettroscopia a raggi X a dispersione di energia (EDS) sono state utilizzate per determinare la struttura e la composizione chimica. Le strutture cristalline sono state determinate con la tecnica della diffrazione dei raggi X. I risultati hanno rivelato che le superfici sono state rivestite in modo da non avere problemi.
