Il sistema di elaborazione delle informazioni del server spende una quantità inaccettabile di risorse computazionali, oltre che di tempo e di risorse di archiviazione, per eseguire query di database ad alta intensità di risorse. L’individuazione e la correzione delle query ad alta intensità di risorse può migliorare la velocità delle applicazioni software orientate al cliente, riducendo il carico complessivo sui server di database, riducendo la competizione per le risorse condivise e riducendo il tempo di esecuzione di altre query. I metodi attualmente in uso per la ricerca di query problematiche, utilizzati nelle utility di sistema, non sempre consentono di identificare gli operatori SQL ad alto consumo di risorse o di non individuare quelle query che possono essere classificate come ad alto consumo di risorse. La monografia si propone di migliorare il processo di individuazione delle query di database ad alta intensità di risorse basandosi sull’applicazione del clustering delle reti neurali e dell’inferenza fuzzy.
