Sve ove situacije i ljude, pisac realno opisuje, bez ulepsavanja i uvijanja u sjajne papire i masne.-----Rez (The Cut) confirms Emil Petrov as a clear, unflinching storyteller. The novel follows an ordinary man forced into extraordinary choices-a job that frays his conscience, a love he cannot quite hold, a city that asks too much. Petrov’s style is brisk and intimate, moving between present urgency and sharply etched memories to show how a single decision can slice a life in two. For readers of contemporary European realism with heart, The Cut offers momentum, moral stakes, and a quietly hopeful ending.

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
