The diamond industry in Gujarat is an important foreign exchange earning industry. So far, various researchers from various universities in Gujarat have done their M.Phil. or Ph.D. research work on Gujarat’s diamond industry, diamond workers, and human resources in the diamond industry. But a few research works had been done on diamond brokers. The first research work on diamond brokers in Gujarat was done by Sutariya Rutulkumar, with titled 'A Statistical Study of Economic Condition of Diamond Brokers in Surat City' M.Phil. Dissertation, from V.N.S.G.Uni. in 2012. The researcher is currently conducting a comparative study of the economic and social situation of diamond brokers in Surat and Ahmedabad. This research on diamond brokers is scarce in various research study articles on the diamond industry available in Gujarat and India. There are a few data and literature are available on diamond brokers of Gujarat. so, this research study has studied the research literature on its related works such as the diamond industry and diamond workers due to the lack of literature on diamond brokers.
