After suffering the pains of going through what two older brothers put him, he joined the Army in 1959. Three years after his discharge in 1965 he married Frances and together with her had three children, one of which lives in Grass Valley, California where Rich and Fran now reside. One lives in nearby Auburn and the other in the Bay Area.Together with Fran he taught in various Christian Schools in California, from 1972 through 1993. Among some of the places were Santa Maria, Paradise, Pomona, Atwater and Fremont. He totally enjoys writing and tends to shun work of any kind.
