Nesta obra é abordado o modelo padrão da física de partículas e o bosão de Higgs. Contém também informações sobre o CERN, o acelerador de partículas LHC e os detectores ATLAS e CMS, todos utilizados na procura do bosão de Higgs. Este trabalho discute o decaimento do bosão de Higgs para outras partículas W, Z e t. As experiências realizadas para procurar o bosão de Higgs no ATLAS são apresentadas utilizando três volumes de dados diferentes em alturas diferentes durante 2011 e 2012. Estes resultados serão também simplificados por gráficos que mostram as massas excluídas das pesquisas do bosão de Higgs. A Lagrangiana da relatividade geral generalizada de Einstein dependente das segundas derivadas do campo, quando usada em conjunto com a equação do veneno, faz com que o termo de massa na Lagrangiana desapareça. Isto significa que o campo de Higgs, que foi proposto para gerar massa, precisa de ser revisto.
