Este estudo analisa, através do prisma da sua avaliação, a resposta do governo à Covid-19 no distrito sanitário de Garoua 1er, na região norte dos Camarões. Surgiu na província chinesa de Wuhan em dezembro de 2019. Foi em 11 de abril de 2020 que o distrito sanitário de Garoua 1er registou o seu primeiro caso de Covid-19. Para combater esta pandemia, o governo tomou uma série de medidas, incluindo uma resposta sanitária adequada e uma resposta socioeconómica adequada. No entanto, apesar de todas as estratégias postas em prática pelo governo para combater a Covid-19 no distrito, ainda existem lacunas e imperfeições. Estas lacunas estão ligadas, de uma forma geral e prática, a factores sociais e culturais e à má governação na gestão dos donativos relativos a este combate. Por conseguinte, foram apresentadas ideias e soluções que visam revitalizar esta luta com o objetivo de proteger as pessoas contra este vírus pernicioso.
