Nils Lindgren, born 14 Oct 1884 in Sweden, took his one and only trip back to his homeland, at the age of 22, during the summer of 1907. His own words are the narration which have been transcribed from his journals and the book’s illustrations are from his postcard correspondences. For years after his trip, letters and postals continue to tell the ongoing story of how friendship and family sought to stay connected at the turn of the century. Join this adventurous journey and peek into an immigrant’s detailed struggle and celebration of moving into a new world while honoring the one he came from.
