Each institutionally oriented chapter provides the reader with detailed demographic and behavioral facts concerning minority groups in the political system. How these groups are represented is assessed through discussions of partisanship, ideology, policy impact, role orientations, leadership, committee assignment, bill co-sponsorship, and voting behavior.
