O livro, intitulado 'A Reologia dos Óleos Vegetais Utilizados como Lubrificantes Biodegradáveis', está estruturado em três capítulos e apresenta um estudo dos óleos vegetais de azeitona, girassol, colza e soja que podem ser utilizados como lubrificantes biodegradáveis.O Capítulo I apresenta o estado atual da investigação sobre a utilização de lubrificantes amigos do ambiente à base de óleos vegetais e as propriedades físico-químicas destes óleos.O Capítulo II apresenta o comportamento reológico dos óleos de azeitona, girassol, colza e soja, aplicando os modelos reológicos encontrados na literatura, mas também encontrando outros modelos reológicos que descrevem corretamente o comportamento dos óleos vegetais a diferentes temperaturas e taxas de cisalhamento.O Capítulo III inclui a aplicação da equação alargada de Vogel-Tammann-Fulcher ao óleo de soja não aditivo, mas utilizado como lubrificante biodegradável.
