The world is an unpredictable place. We are challenged by how to react to all the turmoil, tragedy, and uncertainty. What is the Godly response? The author posits that to have a Godly response, we must know God. To know God, one must go beyond cursory Bible reading or sporadic church attendance. One must make an intentional effort to get to know God. This book seeks to explain the difference between religion as a structure versus having a relationship with God. It offers several areas to explore in building a relationship with God. During these times, religion that does not impact our everyday lives will not be effective. We need to have a relationship with God. The author, K. A. Sellers, graduated from Palmer Theological Seminary in 2015. She strives to combine her seminary learnings with people’s everyday experience. Even though the Bible was written centuries ago, God’s principles are still useful for us today.

We’ve been duped into removing prayer from the center of our churches and have placed it on the periphery or semi-periphery.  What we’re witnessing today in our churches, and in society at large, is that legacy of prayerlessness.  Church leadership may be hesitant and embarrassed to admit it, but there is a direct correlation between our spiritual weakness and our lack of corpo...

In this heart-tugging monograph, Dr. Davis McGuirt draws from both his training in theology and the personal agony of watching his father die from cancer to provide a variety of biblical reasons for why we get sick. We are also remin...
